What is Good for Receding Gums?

Homemade mouthwashes made with salt water, baking soda, and sage tea can significantly reduce pain and bleeding from the gums. However, they are not considered a complete cure.

Before answering the question of what is beneficial for tooth extraction, it's important to understand what tooth extraction is. Gum recession is a condition in which the tissue surrounding the teeth shrinks, exposing the root of the tooth. This condition can lead to tooth decay in the gumline. Gum recession is a condition that must be treated immediately after detection. If left untreated, the bones supporting the teeth can be severely damaged. Tooth loss can also occur in later stages of gum recession. However, gum recession is not an incurable condition.
Gum recession can occur for various reasons. Additionally, individuals who have had their gums removed may experience symptoms such as bleeding, staining, pain, and root exposure. Various solutions can be applied to overcome these symptoms, which are quite bothersome both aesthetically and health-wise. The use of mouthwash and dental care products are the first steps in these solutions. Mouthwash can also be prepared at home.
Homemade mouthwashes include salt water, baking soda, and sage. These mouthwashes can significantly reduce pain and bleeding caused by gums. However, they are not considered sufficient for a complete cure. Use a mouthwash made with equal parts salt water and baking soda. Simply mix a teaspoon of salt and baking soda with a glass of warm water. A mouthwash made with sage tea can be prepared by steeping the tea. In this case, the sage tea should be steeped first, then strained and rinsed.

Brushing your teeth is considered the first rule of oral care and has become a habit since childhood. However, brushing your teeth is not a sufficient solution for receding gums. Toothpaste and dental floss are thought to supplement oral care in this case. Regular use of these two products for cleaning and maintaining your teeth is recommended.
How to Treat Receding Gum
To answer the question of what helps receding gums, there are various herbal treatments that can support the healing process of receding gums. Herbal ingredients that can be used in this case include green tea, aloe vera, coconut oil, and sesame oil. Coconut oil can be used as a gargle without any other ingredients. In this case, gargling with a small amount of coconut oil is sufficient. Leaving this oil in your mouth for two minutes kills the microorganisms that cause receding gums.
Sesame oil, like coconut oil, is used as a mouthwash. However, it's recommended to warm the oil slightly before using it. Gargles made with sesame oil also have a beneficial effect on receding gums.
Green tea, a frequently asked question about what's good for receding teeth, is a treatment that can be drunk or used as a mouthwash. Even swishing green tea around your mouth for just a minute or two while drinking it will help relieve gum pain. Green tea also helps slow down the rate of receding gums.
Aloe vera, on the other hand, is a different treatment option than other therapies. Therefore, applying a plant-derived gel to problematic gums is recommended. Repeating this application two or three times a week will aid in the healing process of gum problems. There are also various natural methods to prevent receding gums. These methods include miswak, crystal salt, tea tree oil, baking soda, lemon oil, mustard oil, and cloves. This natural recipe uses crystal salt, tea tree oil, and baking soda added to water to make a mouthwash.
Another method is to massage the area with lemon oil. Massaging your gums with this oil can accelerate the repair of tissue in the affected area. Oils such as mustard oil and lemon oil are used to massage your gums. It is recommended to apply lemon oil and mustard oil to your gums for three minutes twice a week. Cloves are a natural product with antimicrobial properties and help kill the organisms that cause receding gums. In this case, people believe that chewing two or three cloves is beneficial for this condition. Applying cloves is especially recommended after meals.
How to Prevent Receding Gums
It is crucial to take precautions against receding gums to avoid asking what is good for receding gums. The main way to prevent receding gums is to maintain regular and proper dental care. In this case, it is recommended to brush your teeth daily and floss if necessary. Regular visits to the dentist throughout the year are also a preventative measure to prevent receding gums. People with receding gums should use a softer brush when brushing their teeth. It's also important to research and practice proper brushing techniques. Avoiding cigarettes and tobacco products and eating a balanced and regular diet are also important factors in managing gum problems. Patients should also pay attention to changes in these areas during oral care. Prevent bleeding and discoloration of the gums without delay.
