In the treatment that starts with the separation of the gingiva from the tooth, not only the gingiva, but also the part up to the tooth roots can be cleaned. Curettage, which can be called deep cleaning, is necessary to prevent problems that may occur on the surface of the tooth root.

Dental curettage is the process of scraping under the gums. It is a safe and common treatment method used in gum diseases. The tartar is cleaned from the inside of the gums. Local anesthesia is usually applied to the patient when curettage is performed.
