How is Orthognathic Surgery Planning Made?

While planning orthognathic surgery, firstly, the measurements of the patient's upper and lower jaws are taken. According to these measurements, the chin is modeled with plaster and examined in all its details. It is then analyzed with conventional x-rays or three-dimensional imaging systems such as the lower and upper jaw bones, jaw joints, panoramic and cephalometric. At the end of all these evaluations, the surgical procedures to be applied to the patient are decided.
