ANCIENT CITY OF HIERAPOLIS

Hierapolis was a center of attraction throughout history. Thanks to the Saint Philippe Martyrium located in Hierapolis, the city was accepted as a 'holy city' in the Christian world after its conversion to Christianity.

In the following years, millions of Christians visited the ancient city of Hierapolis to become pilgrims. Hierapolis, which also stood out as a health center, had many fountains and Roman baths.

Several of the most glorious buildings in this area are the Bath Basilica, the Large Roman Bath Complex, the Roman Bath and the Octagonal Bath.
