The Kaleiçi Bazaar, located in the Saraylar neighborhood of the Merkezefendi district has a history of more than 8 centuries. Origi-nally made up of the city walls of Denizli Castle, the Bazaar covers an area of approximately 280x160 meters.Kaleiçi has been used as a bazaar for hundreds of years and has an important place in the collective memory.

Today, there are many shops in the bazaar where the "Ahi" culture is still alive. In these shops, various products, especially textile products are sold. Handi-crafts such as coppersmith, finial forging (alemcilik) and quilting are among the traditions that are kept alive in the bazaar.
